Conference Presentations
Presenting at an international conference, or even in front of colleagues can be daunting. Many researchers, regardless of where they are in their careers, are nervous about presenting their work in English. They're concerned about making grammatical mistakes, not being understood, or not being able to handle questions fluently.
Build on your strengths We can support you to become a more fluent and confident speaker. It's not all about having perfect grammar, or having an Oxford-English accent. Good presenters are well-rehearsed and know their strengths. And to discover your strengths as a presenter, personal feedback is key. Our presentation skills workshops are lively, interactive sessions where everyone has the opportunity to present and receive constructive feedback. We’re flexible in content design with elements covering how to present to an international audience, how to structure your presentation for maximum impact, how to use rhetorical devices to keep your audience engaged, design tips for visuals and slides, non-verbal communication and how to project credibility and confidence, understanding and controlling nervousness, and handling the question and answer session. We build on your strengths by coaching individual needs. Our presentation workshops include video feedback. |
